Program Description
Explore the complexity of Belize with its rich history rooted in Native American, Maya, African, and Spanish peoples. This is a beautiful nation with a vibrant culture and a friendly outlook. Live in a rural village and experience the breathtaking coral reefs and marine life on the shores of Belize. You will even have the opportunity to go on canoeing adventures.

What`s Included
Dates: Jul 1 – Jul 21 (3 week program, includes Homestay); Jul 21 – Aug 5 (2 week program, includes Group community stay)Starting/Ending Point: Belize City, Belize
Program Fee: $4,575 (3 week) $3,575 (2 week). Travel expenses to and from Belize City are not included in the program fee. Global Routes arranges group travel. Round trip airfare from New York to Belize City will be approximately $TBA. Students are also encouraged to raise monies to help fund their service projects.
Group Size: maximum 18 students; 2 U.S. leaders; 2 Belizean staff
Service Component:
2 week program: approx. 30-40 hours
3 week program: approx. 40-60 hours
Language Requirement: None. English is the official language of the country. In certain parts of the country, including in many host communities where we have traveled in the past, Spanish is the first language, so some Spanish exposure is likely.
