Pharmacy Bachelor's Degree in English - SPAIN

Program Description

Our Degree in Pharmacy is one of our most interesting degrees, due to its teaching method based in the Pharmacy Practice Classroom approach. This project has been pioneered in Spain and it is focused in a classroom that replicates a real Pharmacy.

Moreover, you will have the possibility to do, alongside your degree, a free qualification in Pharmacy Management and Marketing, that will complement your degree and improve your EMPLOYABILITY.

Once you are a student at University CEU Cardenal HErrera, you can also apply for an Erasmus Scholarship and take one semester, or even one year, in another European University.

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

You will learn how to be involved in patient care and how to improve the quality of life of patients, through collaborating with other health professionals. To do this, you will acquire new "attitudes, behaviours, commitments, concerns, ethical values, roles, skills, responsibilities and abilities" to improve the health of patients, as established by WHO (World Health Organisation) in 1993.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?

BILINGUAL TRAINING IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH:
The knowledge of a second language confers the student a higher level of working competence and a higher level of competitiveness. In the specific case of Pharmacy, it means as well having more and better opportunities on the labor market.
The first two years of the degree are taught in English, what gives the student enough time to acquire a good level of Spanish language to do their internship in Spanish chemist's shops, labs and clinics. During the first two years, the students can attend free Spanish lessons and practice the language in their everyday life.

The Pharmacy degree we offer at CEU-UCH is focused on care management in all areas of pharmacy (in pharmacies, hospitals etc.). There are two key things that make our degree different:

1. Focus on patient care:
Our course has been structured and developed so that all subjects have a focus on patient care.

2. Focus on employability:
You will have the possibility to do, alongside your degree, a free qualification in Pharmacy Management and Marketing, that will complement your degree and improve your employability. You will improve your skills in financial and strategy management, stock management and your knowledge of marketing tools that can be applied in the pharmacy.

MASTER'S DEGREE:
In addition to that, the degree in Nusing Studies allows you to gain access to post-graduate programs. After completing you degree in Pharmacy you will able to apply for the following POSTGRADUATE degrees:

- Hospitality Package: This welcoming program has been especially conceived for international students in order to help them organize their arrival;
Even before leaving their country, the students can start arranging different services through the on-line Hospitality platform: they can obtain general information, get help with their visa (if needed), choose accommodation, and settle a date to visit the campus.
Once they arrive to Spain, the students are picked up at the airport, and taken to their hotel, previously booked by each student, and paid by the University CEU-Cardenal Herrera.
During the visit to the campus, the Hospitality Team will guide the student through the rest of the services included in the package: accommodation, telephone, paperwork, transport, health insurance, language lessons and integration in the University life.
