Program Description
The Food Biotechnology program was created in part with the UrFU institute of Chemical Engineering.
The program lasts for 2 years and earns a total of 120 ECTS. English is the language of instruction.
Dr.Elena Kovaleva, PhD in Chemistry, UrFU Institute of Chemical Engineering is the head of the program.
A 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or Biotechnology is required to be evaluated for this program.
Program participants will be trained in developing innovations in the food and drink industries. Graduates will be specialists in production and quality control.

• Beer and Low-alcohol Beverages/ Milk-based products Manufacturing
• Biotechnological Processing of Vegetable Raw Materials/ Biotechnological Processing and Application of Food Additives
Final examination: Oral exam and Master thesis defense
