Master in Business Administration

Program Description

ESE’s Master in Business Administration (MBA) programme is a 12-month full-time course. All the ESE degree programmes are taught in English and with the MBA course Students have the possibility to transfer per term/year between our 6 centres in London, Milan, Florence, Rome, Madrid and New York.

The MBA programme at ESE entails:

• full-time compulsory attendance
• final business project
• internship placement (optional)

Term I
4 core modules, independent of specialisation
1st part of the Leadership, Governance and Corporate Sustainability module

Term II
4 core modules, independent of specialisation
2nd part of the Leadership, Governance and Corporate Sustainability module

Term III
4 specialisation modules (International Business, Entrepreneurship, International Finance or Marketing)
3rd part of the Leadership, Governance and Corporate Sustainability module

Term IV
Optional Internship*, generally three-months full length
Final business project

Additional workshops, guest speakers and company visits.

*In this phase of the programme students can complete a three months (international) Internship in a sector relevant to their chosen specialisation and compose a report based on their experience.
Each campus has an Internship office which guides students in defining their career path and placing them in a company of their choice. We have a network of over 1,500 partner companies worldwide. The high quality of the ESE Internship provides each student the possibility of entering a company/business area which best reflects his/her preference. The ESE Internship also highly increases self-development and employability of our students.

The programme focuses on modern thinking and the latest business practice across a wide range of management disciplines. The MBA develops critical analysis abilities and practical and interpersonal skills through ESE’s unique ‘Leadership, Governance and Corporate Sustainability module’, in preparation of obtaining key leadership roles in the international business world.
The MBA prepares students with a varied comprehension of organisations, their management and the mutable global environment in which they operate. The programme develops an in-depth understanding of management and organisation within a structure that allows participants to connect their business experience and knowledge to modern management concepts and operations.
