LL.M. Program for International Students

Program Description

Students who want to engage and excel in a particularly difficult job market should consider applying for the LLM degree program. Students will learn about US law and increase their knowledge and expertise. There are a numbers of master degree programs offered by the Golden Gate University School of Law. Degrees include Master of Laws (LL.M.) in US Legal Studies, Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation, Intellectual Property Law, and Environmental Law, as well as Scientiae Juridicae Doctor (S.J.D) in International Legal Studies.

What`s Included

EVENTS FOR STUDENTS:
The Admissions Office hosts a series special events designed to help admitted students acclimate to life at GGU Law. These events include a cable car tour, bowling, ice skating, and a wine and cheese party at a faculty member's house.

ON-SITE CLINICS
Golden Gate has one of the most extensive clinical legal education programs in the country. Students earn academic credit while working under the supervision of a full-time faculty member and a practicing attorney.

HOUSING RESOURCES GUIDE

Although GGU does not directly provide housing, the Admissions Office helps admitted students find suitable accommodations around San Francisco and the Bay Area. Many GGU Law students live in San Francisco, while others reside in the surrounding communities of the East Bay (Oakland, Alameda and Berkeley), the North Bay (Mill Valley and San Rafael) or the Peninsula (Daly City, South San Francisco and San Bruno).

If you need assistance with a class assignment, in-depth research, or assistance in finding material either in print or online, the law librarians at Golden Gate University Law Library are there to help you.

STUDENT SERVICES
The Academic Development Program (ADP) provides supplemental services directly to GGU students at any stage and level to improve their academic performance and skills. ADP provides advising, skills training, workshops and support for first, second and third year law students regardless of their academic ranking.
