Program Description
This is a private independent music conservatory that was established in 2009. Originally the Jazzschool Institute, the California Jazz Conservatory (CJC) provides a comprehensive course offering to students interested in becoming professional musicians. Situated in Berkeley, California, graduates will be able to earn a performance baccalaureate in Jazz Studies.
Students will be held to the highest standards in artistic, academic, and ethical merits. Students will be evaluated on concerts, juries, classes, and, finally, a Senior Project. This Senior Project is open to the public and will demonstrate the culmination of ability earned through this 4-year program.
The CJC is a SEVP-approved school.
