Over 4,000 students from 50+ nationalities have chosen Spéos International Photography School as their photo school to help them become professional photographers (photojournalism, fashion photography and fine arts). Spéos Alumni have gained multiple major awards and many are now recognised as top experts in their genre, both in their own countries and internationally.

Founded in 1985, the school is centrally located both in Paris and in London. Spéos is one the most successful photography school in France and was ranked among the Top 5 Photography Schools in the World according to three different and totally independent rankings in 2016:

Spéos is the only Independent Photography School in Europe that is fully accredited to award Masters Qualifications that are recognised as totally equivalent to any United Kingdom MA or MFA Degree. However, its programmes are far more intensively taught, vocationally based and continually updated to meet the needs of this rapidly changing creative industry. This is achieved by Spéos employing lecturers who also work as very successful practitioners in Professional Photography.

Spéos Photo School is also very concerned with ongoing research and in preserving a very significant French National Heritage site: The Nicéphore Niépce House Museum. This is the location where the very first photograph in the world was taken by the true inventor of photography, Nicéphore Niépce.
