Manchester Business School (MBS) is the UK’s largest campus-based business and management school. Part of the University of Manchester, MBS is a research driven business school with a global reputation and is consistently ranked amongst the world’s top schools. The school was one of the first two business schools in the UK, founded in 1965, and is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2015.

The 2015 Financial Times survey ranks the MBS MBA 5th in the UK, 12th in Europe and 35th in the world. MBS is ranked 4th in the world, outside the US, by business title Forbes, which uses return on investment (ROI) as its main measure, combined with feedback gathered from MBS' global alumni community.

The School offers globally recognised programmes and is one of a handful of elite schools worldwide with triple accredited MBA programmes – MBS is part of a small and select group of institutions worldwide that is accredited by all three major bodies, AACSB International, AMBA and EQUIS - and MBA degrees awarded by the University of Manchester.

The MBS Middle East Centre at Dubai Knowledge Village, United Arab Emirates, opened in 2006 and is one of seven international executive centres, and supports more than 1,800 part time MBA students (and 95 nationalities) across the region. It is the largest and fastest growing centre in the MBS network, which includes Hong Kong, Miami, Brazil, Shanghai, Singapore and Manchester. The MBA students are working professionals with leading multinationals and regional companies and many already hold Masters level qualifications.

The part time Global MBA programme offers a choice of learning pathways – Engineering, Finance, Projects and Global – with 250 hours of workshops with world class faculty in Dubai or any international centre. Additional benefits include careers services and a growing regional network of 2,000 alumni.

Manchester Business School launched the new Global Executive MBA (GEMBA) programme with the first global cohort of students starting in July 2014. The part-time 20-month GEMBA programme is designed for very senior executives looking to move into the boardroom with the aid of a more personalised, intense and international MBA experience working closely with the School’s faculty across the MBS international network and offering leadership coaching and mentoring.

GEMBA supports academic achievement and personal growth for senior executives and comprises three elements – a comprehensive academic programme led by top faculty; ‘The Reflective Manager’ course, which evaluates decision making, problem solving and management styles; GEMBA+ is a range of additional experiences from high level networking to personal coaching to help define personal goals, enhance interpersonal skills and build connections. The programme is delivered across four MBS regional executive centres in Dubai, Shanghai, Manchester and Miami.
