Since its foundation in 1925, the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso has dedicated to serve the Valparaíso Region providing a unique academic experience that combines high academic standards and social commitment.

Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso grants undergraduate and graduate degrees in more than 60 fields. In the graduate level the University covers areas such as Aquaculture, Biotechnology, Biochemistry Engineering, Sciences (Physics and Chemistry), Law, Mathematics Teaching, Philosophy, History, Computer Science, Linguistics, Literature, Psychology, Architecture, Design, Education, Oceanography, Agronomy, SocialWork and International Relations. Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso is fully accredited by the National Accreditation Commission under the aegis of the Chilean Ministry of Education.

PUCV has developed expertise in the field of internationalization of higher education through undergraduate student mobility and international academic cooperation. Welcomes undergraduate students in mobility programs in short and long term formats since 1985 and its research and academic body has a strong international accent. Therefore was the first university in the region of Valparaiso in shaping an international Programas Office.

Through its International Relations Office PUCV develops strong relationships with universities and agencies to develop a diverse, flexible and specialized opportunities. PUCV receives 850 studentseach year.

PUCV is a member of organizations such as NAFSA, EAIE and ISEP also takes part in the most representative conference of the international education sector in the world as NAFSA, EAIE, China Education Expo, LACHEC, CINDA, to name a few.

PUCV receives per year an average of 100 visitors from organizations and universities interested in establishing some kind of link with our institution.
