Institution description:
The Universidad de Alcalá (UAH), founded in 1499, is one of Spain’s and Europe’s oldest universities, and was declared by UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1998. The UAH has 28,000 students and three campuses, two in Alcalá de Henares, and one in Guadalajara.

The Instituto Franklin de la Universidad de Alcalá is the only University Institute for Research on North America in Spain. It is located in the Historical Old Quarter of Alcalá de Henares, at the Colegio de Trinitarios, a 17th Century old building.
The Instituto Franklin-UAH offers graduate MA Programs and undergraduate study abroad programs since 1987.
