Global Routes was founded in 1986 as a non-governmental, non-sectarian organization in collaboration with our sister organization Windsor Mountain. Windsor Mountain launched its first program abroad for high school students in 1967! Our inaugural community service program in 1986 in Kenya was the very first community service program of its kind. Over 25 years later, our unique approach to experiential education and international service combined with our commitment to the host communities in which we serve continue to set us apart from other organizations.
