Founded in 1993, Where There Be Dragons is the leader in cross-cultural education. We specialize in guiding experiential education programs for high school and college students in the developing world.
Who We Are: We are a community of global educators and intrepid adventurers that come together every year to engage with local communities and learn about unfamiliar cultures in 17 different countries in the developing world. What We Believe: In a world with too many people and too few resources, we believe that the next generation of global citizens must understand the interconnected nature of our global community and work across cultures to build a more sustainable peace. How we Learn: Dragons is an experiential education company. We seek out learning opportunities within the fabric of everyday life, stopping for chai along the ghats of Varanasi or practicing Mandarin while navigating an unfamiliar train system in Beijing. How we Travel: Dragons courses are rugged. We don’t book hotels and we don’t charter any buses. We believe in low-impact travel and that means minimizing both our environmental impact and our cultural impact at every possible juncture. |
