Kristin studied Mandarin abroad in Taiwan at the age of 21, which was her first taste of living and learning abroad  She subsequently spent four years as an investment banker in California prior to selling off her life in order to travel and write full time.  In her spare time, Kristin writes her personal blog where she chronicles her experiences traveling solo in Asia, Oceania, North America, and Europe. Rather than relying on tours or guide books, she always takes local transportation so that she can speak with locals, gain knowledge on the best off-the-beaten path insider knowledge possible, and passes the information on to her readers. This includes special festival tips and tricks.

Natalie hails from a town just outside of Boston, and has lived in Chicago, Buenos Aires and her current home of Bogotá, Colombia. She has worked as a fact-checker, after-school program coordinator and barista, among other jobs, but her first and most permanent love is writing, which she's been doing since she learned how to spell (at an age early enough to alarm her parents). She first arrived in Bogotá in January 2012 to work as a volunteer English teacher, fell drastically in love with the city and country, and has been living in Colombia ever since, working as a teacher, freelance writer and with a human rights organization. She loves Boston sports teams, strong coffee, Game of Thrones, the Spanish language, zombie movies, the mind-boggling diversity of Colombian fruit and taunting her friends back in the US with Instagram photos of palm trees, juice and Caribbean sunsets.
